Celebrate the coming of spring and the lengthening days and the goddess Brigid with our Brigid's Cross Triple Goddess Moon Altar.

Brigid's cross or St. Brigid's Cross or Brigit's cross (Irish: Cros Bríde, Crosóg Bríde or Bogha Bríde) is a small cross usually woven from rushes. Ours follows on the original pattern but is sculpted and then 3D printed to have the four arms tied at the ends and a woven square in the middle. The spaces around the cross are used to place the four elements symbols - earth, air, fire and water - which each play a role in each of the pagan sabbats.

Brigid's crosses are associated with Brigid of Kildare, who was so popular a goddess in pre-Christian times that the church actually named her one of the patron saints of Ireland rather than risk the backlash of banishing her as they did with so many other deities, gods and goddesses. The crosses are traditionally made in Ireland on St Brigid's feast day, 1 February, which is celebrated as the pagan festival Imbolc and marks the beginning of spring. Traditionally they were set over doorways and windows to protect the home from any kind of harm

No matter your interpretation or faith or practice, the addition of Brigid, her cross and the four elements, will most certainly enrich your altar and practice.

Product Details: The St Brigid's Cross Imbolc Altar measures 13cm wide, 6.5cm high and around 1 cm deep and weighs 15g. It can be printed as a solid colour or hand finished in the coloured elements and cross as shown also.

All of our products are designed and individually 3D printed here in our home studio using a bio-safe, non-toxic, vegetable, wood fibre or sugar-cane based PLA. We then hand-finish each piece, usually smoothing and sanding them using a natural wood fibre material and then acrylic paints or glazes. The cured finishes are non-toxic but the metallic finishes do have the actual metals in them. This is a clean and local process and our materials are selected from those made in Canada or the USA. We are 100% NOT “Made in China” and take some pride in that. Through careful research and testing, we have found a great way to get around the toxic resin and moulding processes used in most of the statues on the market.
