This Venus of Willendorf is a reproduction of the ancient Mother Goddess statue found in 1908 in Austria dating back to 24,000 BCE. Even more interesting this is one of hundreds of similar female figures found from the NeoLithic period suggesting that earth goddesses have been worshiped for over 30,000 years before the advent of any other God.

When discovered these figures were erroneously given the “venus” name to imply an immodest goddess as at the time that could be the only explanation for a naked female figure.

Today many pagans and christians alike can appreciate her natural form and connection to our bodies and the Earth Mother. She is a vital antidote to a culture that vilifies the softness and curves of a woman’s body. The Willendorf Goddess encourages us to love ourselves as we are and be embraced by the spirit of Gaia in the way of the ancient ones.

Product Details: We have 2 sizes as follows:
- Actual size: Exact proportions of the original statue 11.176 cm high (11.2 cm or 4.4 inches) , 6.2 cm wide, 5 cm deep and weighs around 70 grams.
- Small: stands 8.5cm high, 5cm wide, 3.5 cm deep and weighs around 35 grams.
Note: The statues vary slightly in final colour and displayed height due to the hand finishing and handmade nature of the stands that support them (included).

She is hand-finished and aged in a faded brown and bronze patina.

All of our products are designed and individually 3D printed here in our home studio using a bio-safe, non-toxic, vegetable, wood fibre or sugar-cane based PLA. We then hand-finish each piece, usually smoothing and sanding them using a natural wood fibre material and then acrylic paints or glazes.  The cured finishes are non-toxic but the metallic finishes do have the actual metals in them. This is a clean and local process and our materials are selected from those made in Canada or the USA. We are 100% NOT “Made in China” and take some pride in that. Through careful research and testing, we have found a great way to get around the toxic resin and moulding processes used in most of the statues on the market.
