The mother. The maiden. The crone.

Call upon Hecate, the Mother of witches, to guide your path.

Hecate is rendered her as three goddesses representing the mother, the maiden and the crone, who are all standing on a Hecate wheel in the full moon position surrounded by a waxing and waning moon decorated with elements of the Hecate wheel.

Hecate is the Mother of witches, Guardian of the Crossroads, Keeper of the Keys and She Who Lights the Way. Hecate (or Hekate) is a very ancient powerful goddess who originated in the East as a Mother goddess before being assimilated in the Greek pantheon. In Greek mythology she’s seen as a powerful force to whom Zeus grants dominion over the earth, seas and the heavens as an equal to himself. She becomes associated with the underworld and the triple goddesses when she accompanies Demeter in the search for Persephone. Once Persephone was reunited with her Mother, Hecate remained as her companion while in Hades. She thus becomes a deity of the underworld; She is described in this role as a mighty and formidable divinity, ruling over the souls of the departed and a guardian of the threshold between life and death.

Her worshipers often invoked her protective attributes by placing guardian statues near the thresholds of their homes as she’s the goddess of liminal spaces. She is often identified with dogs and specifically the three-headed dog Cerberus who guards the entrance to Hades. In ancient times, the sound of barking and howling dogs is a sign of her approach.Today Hecate plays a significant role in modern witchcraft as a lunar goddess, the spinner of the wheel of time and the keeper of the keys to the mysteries. She is known as Anima Mundi or the soul of all creation and Hecate’s Wheel is a symbol of her vast cosmic knowledge.

Hekate is a great bringer of power and healing.

All of our products are designed and individually 3D printed here in our home studio using a bio-safe, non-toxic, vegetable, wood fibre or sugar-cane based PLA. We then hand-finish each piece, usually smoothing and sanding them using a natural wood fibre material and then acrylic paints or glazes.  The cured finishes are non-toxic but the metallic finishes do have the actual metals in them. This is a clean and local process and our materials are selected from those made in Canada or the USA. We are 100% NOT “Made in China” and take some pride in that. Through careful research and testing, we have found a great way to get around the toxic resin and moulding processes used in most of the statues on the market.
