Odin's Vegvisir featuring the Ravens Huginn and Muninn in a Triple Moon Altar Piece dedicated to the Odin the Norse AllFather

Odin’s Vegvisir is an original piece featuring Hugin and Munin (Odin’s crows symbolizing thought and memory) to form the crescents of the Triple Goddess moon symbol together with Odin's horns.

The horns reflect the shape of a Westland Fjord bull horn which are believed to be one of the main types of cattle kept in viking settlements based on 1000 year old DNA extraction done from a settlement in northern Ireland.

The full moon in the middle  is the setting for the Viking runes and the Norse compass Vegvisir - eight staves branching out from a shared point, with each stave representing a cardinal or intermediate direction and ending in a protective rune.

Another way of looking it at is that we start with Vegvisir in the center, and then wrap the futhark runes around that before placing a waxing and waning moon on either side made up of Odin's horns and his crows.

Product Details: This altar piece or wall/door decor sits 15 cm wide, 8+ cm high and around 2 cm deep and weighs around 100 grams. It is hand-finished in black, bronze, turquoise and shades of blue and silver. Other colours will be available so do let us know if you would like a different finish.

All of our products are designed and individually 3D printed here in our home studio using a bio-safe, non-toxic, vegetable, wood fibre or sugar-cane based PLA. We then hand-finish each piece, usually smoothing and sanding them using a natural wood fibre material and then acrylic paints or glazes. The cured finishes are non-toxic but the metallic finishes do have the actual metals in them. This is a clean and local process and our materials are selected from those made in Canada or the USA. We are 100% NOT “Made in China” and take some pride in that. Through careful research and testing, we have found a great way to get around the toxic resin and moulding processes used in most of the statues on the market.
